By the end of 2019, the new SpareBank 1 SR-Bank headquarters at Finansparken Bjergsted in Stavanger, Norway, will be ready. It is a truly unique project as one of Europe’s largest commercial examples of timber-frame architecture. The design includes an impressive atrium with curved wooden stairways enhanced by ourglass railings.
SpareBank 1 was looking for a way to accommodate all of its 600 Stavanger employees at a single location and to significantly reduce the energy consumption and maintenance costs of its premises. The solution was to create a new building at Stavanger’s attractive Finansparken Bjergsted – a modern architectural marvel covering over 240,000 square feet!
