By the end of 2019, the new SpareBank 1 SR-Bank headquarters in Finansparken Bjergsted, Stavanger, Norway will be ready. The project, which took almost a year to complete, is a truly unique project and one of the largest commercial examples of timber construction in Europe. The design includes an impressive atrium with a curved timber staircase enhanced by our glass balustrades.
In the grand atrium, the arched wooden staircase provides a truly thought-provoking artistic design. The design called for 1,200 feet of glass balustrades and 400 feet of glass systems on the staircase and adjacent galleries. Top-mounted base shoes were specified with 160 feet requiring custom 2D and 3D bends. Other accessories include armrest brackets, glass clips, stainless steel pipes, end caps, etc.
